The three pried open a maintenance building door with a shovel and other tools before discharging fire extinguishers, spray painting grooming equipment and driving a dump truck leaking fluid to the top of the ski hill, and in the process destroying guard rails and a fence.

One of the three was initially identified by police as a 15-year-old juvenile. The ski area used its Facebook page to ask the public for help in identifying the other two culprits before all three were apprehended.

The vandalism is not expected to delay the start of the ski season at McIntyre, which is set for next month.
