Avon, CO – Starting this winter, skiers with fat wallets will be able to heli-ski from the Vail Valley for the first time ever.
A bird will fly from Telluride Helitrax to pick up guests at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, and whisk them to Helitrax’s permit area in the San Juan Mountains for a day of helicopter skiing or snowboarding. This package, which starts at $12,000, includes guided heli-skiing, four nights of luxury accommodations at Beaver Creek Resort & Spa, and a morning of fresh tracks at Beaver Creek Resort with a hotel executive for up to four guests. The experience also includes a therapeutic massage for each guest, a private dinner at Chef Christian Apetz’s table at 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill, gourmet breakfast and Zeal HD Camera goggles.
The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek will also be debuting a new $1 million renovation of the lobby this winter and adding a sleek, new bar as well as a ski-in/ski-out beer hall. The Antler Bar will feature high-end cocktails, a selection of local beer and spirits, and small bites from 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill. The area will serve as a gathering place with a communal table and comfortable seating, with live music on select evenings. The new bar will also be offering three-liter pours of local beers to add to the Bavarian environment.
