Breckenridge, CO – The 2015 Dew Tour will go down this week in Breckenridge without two of its favorite stars.

Snowboarder Jamie Anderson, of S. Lake Tahoe, Calif., will miss this week’s competition after fracturing her collarbone during training in the park at Breckenridge.  The 25-year-old, who brought home snowboard slopestyle medals from nine of the past 10 X Games, underwent surgery in Colorado and expects to return to competition in January in time for the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo.

And just a week after we told you that Canadian freeskier Kaya Turski was returning to competition, her comeback has been sidelined by a broken arm. The 27-year-old Montrealer broke her left arm during a training session in Breckenridge on Monday. After spending the last 18 months recovering from a knee injury, her return to competition is now expected to take another four to six weeks.

“Compared to my knees this feels breezy,” Turski posted to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon. “Got lucky with a hand and arm specialist, (a) few screws here and there and already much more solid than yesterday. Dew will have to wait till next year… but looking forward to some chill recovery time over the holidays and back at it soon.”

Like Anderson, Turski hopes to be back in form in time for X Games.
