Richmond, UT – It’s been decades since a new ski resort has opened in Utah, but that will change on Monday when skiers will begin loading the lifts at Cherry Peak after several years of development and construction.
This family owned 200-acre resort is located just 20 minutes north of the northern Utah city of Logan. Boasting 800 vertical feet, two chairlifts, 16 runs, a terrain park with 15 features, snow tubing, night skiing and ice skating, Cherry Peak Resort is built to cater to the entire family. Anchoring the base area is a new 15,200-square foot Grand Lodge with over 5,000 feet of deck. These magnificent day lodge is home to the rental shop, ticket office and dining area.
“We are excited to be officially opening,” says owner John Chadwick. “It has been a long time coming but we finally got to the goal line.”
On opening day, Cherry Peak Resort will have five runs open and both chairlifts running, as well as the magic carpet. The Grand Lodge will be serving homemade soups and chilies, signature burgers, artisan salads and pizzas.
