Cimarron, CO – Love to ski, and have a spare $4 million laying around? If so, read on.

Nestled on 2,000 acres between Telluride and Crested Butte in southwestern Colorado, the Cimarron Mountain Club is gunning for the title of world’s most exclusive ski resort. Not only do you need a wheelbarrow to cart around your cash, but only 12 members are set to gain admission.

Those 12 will get their own ski-in/ski-out building lot averaging 10 acres in size, accessible only by snowmobile or snow cat. Right out the door, they’ll have access to unlimited heli-skiing with Telluride Helitrax and guided cat skiing on 60 runs cut within Cimarron’s 2,000 acres spanning three miles of ridgeline, capped by 11,453-foot Castle Rock Peak and featuring wooded glades, chutes and an alpine cirque. And yes, some of those runs will be groomed. In summer, they’ll have their own private enclave for hunting, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and climbing.

None of those home sites are visible from one another. But when members are ready to socialize, they’ll be able to do so in a private clubhouse planned for the property with a restaurant, bar, spa, pool and gym.

It’s all the vision of Denver natural resources attorney John Aronstein, 61, who has owned this little enclave in the San Juan Mountains since 2005 when he purchased the land from a logging company. Also on board are Powderhorn Resort owner, Vail  mayor and former Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek President Andy Daly, former Aspen Skiing Co. COO John Norton, and former Telluride COO Johnnie Stevens.

If you’re interested, get ready to open your wallet. Home site prices range from $2.7 million to $3.8 million, and annual dues start at $50,000.
