Eagle, CO – Colorado’s Mikaela Shiffrin will be back racing on the World Cup skiing circuit again next week, starting her comeback at the rescheduled Maribor slalom in Crans Montana, Switzerland on Monday.
After injuring her knee in a crash while warming up for a race in December, Shiffrin has been rehabbing in Colorado—starting in the gym and recently training on snow at Loveland Ski Area. But she’s now ready for Europe and plans on giving the World Cup a try.
“A lot of people have been asking when I’m going to race again,” Shiffrin posted to Facebook on Monday. “I said that I hope to race at the end of February or early March, but you may have heard that the canceled slalom from Maribor has been rescheduled for Crans Montana on February 15 – and I’m going to be there! Sooo… see ya in a week!”
