Deer Valley Skier Arrested After Trying to Punch Patroller

Park City, UT – Apparently, New Jersey hasn’t yet cornered the marked on ski rage.

An unidentified Massachusetts man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to punch a Deer Valley ski patroller. The patroller was headed uphill on a snowmobile back on February 9, when the downhill skier reportedly held out his arm in a fist as if to punch the patroller. The patroller indicates that he had to duck to avoid being struck by the man.

Although the patroller stopped the alleged perpetrator and confiscated his ski pass, he boarded another lift to return to Silver Lake Village, where resort officials detained the man and called police.

Police indicate that the charges filed against the man include reckless skiing and intoxication, both misdemeanors.
