Marshalls Creek, PA – A 15-year-old foreign student died on Monday night after losing control and crashing into a safety fence at Shawnee Mountain ski area in the Pocono Mountains of eastern Pennsylvania.

Juliette Dajani, of Singapore, was a freshman student at the Blair Academy, a boarding school in New Jersey, and a member of the school’s ski team. She was at Shawnee Mountain for a team event.

No further details surrounding the accident were immediately available.

“It’s people like Juliette, who remind us why its worth it, and for all I know, its what she did best,” friend Rthvika Suvarna blogged on Tuesday. “Although she is no longer gracing our planet, with her ridiculous sense of humor and contagious laughter, she will always be remembered, cherished, loved and adored. Juliette Dajani is an angel. May she rest in peace.”
