Public Invited to Ski Patrol Drill at Snowbasin

Huntsville, UT – Snowbasin Ski Patrol will conduct a training scenario in the Utah ski resort’s Middle Bowl Cirque on Friday, involving a large inbounds avalanche with numerous buried and or injured victims.nThis training will involve ski patrols and rescue dog teams from ski areas all over the Wasatch Mountains, and is scheduled to begin at about 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. Anyone who is interested can observe.

Snowbasin’s Patrol is also looking for willing public participants to assist with the drill. Participation is open to anyone who is interested and will replicate what would happen in the event of a large inbounds avalanche. Participants will be directed and organized by Snowbasin Ski Patrol. Anyone interested in participating in this training should meet at the top of the Needles Gondola at 9:20 a.m. on Friday.
