Hunter, NY – Summer-like temperatures and last night’s rain have forced officials at New York’s Hunter Mountain to pull the plug on the ski and snowboard season.n”Mother Nature brought us mid-summer weather a little too early this year, topped off with a significant rainfall last night,” ski area staffers announced in a statement this morning. “We’d like to thank everyone who made this season one of our best. While we did have a late start to the season, we ended it with more natural snow than we could have even imagined. This was a year for the record books.”
