Aspen Ski Season Rolls On

Aspen, CO – Aspen Skiing Company will extend the ski and snowboard season at Aspen Mountain on weekends through April 25. Consistent snowfall and cold temperatures have given the resort excellent coverage and the deepest base depths so far this season. Aspen Mountain will open for the weekends of April 17-18 and 24-25.n”We’re excited to offer our third straight extended season,” said Rich Burkley, Aspen Skiing Company’s Vice President, Mountain Operations. “We’ve got great snow right now and will open as much terrain as we can. Who knows? They could even be the biggest powder days of the season based on recent storms.”

Specific lift and terrain openings will be announced prior to the weekend openings dependent on weather and conditions. Lifts will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Sundeck will fire up the grill and host a band each day and additional activities are being planned.

All Aspen/Snowmass season passes are valid as they are during the regular season. Flex Passes are valid for one day each weekend. Additional days for Flex, Classic and Escape Passholders are $19. Adult tickets will be $39 per day, youth and seniors will pay $29 and children’s tickets will be $19. Children six and under ski for free. Current season passholders from any other resort will pay $29 for their lift ticket.

Aspen Skiing Company’s other three mountains — Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass — are now closed for the season.
