Squaw Valley to Open Summer Season on Memorial Day Weekend

Squaw Valley, CA – California’s Squaw Valley USA will keep skiing and riding through this Sunday, May 9, but the ski resort’s summer season will kick off Memorial Day Weekend with high-altitude dining, swimming and relaxing overlooking Lake Tahoe.nVisitors can ride the Cable Car up to High Camp and have lunch in an alpine setting at 8,200 feet of elevation at the Poolside Café or enjoy a drink at the Umbrella Bar. To kick off the weekend, music for all ages will be playing on the pool deck from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 29. The scenic High Camp Lagoon and Spa will be open all weekend for mountaintop swimming and sunbathing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Guests can also enjoy an array of shopping and dining over Memorial Day Weekend in the Village at Squaw Valley USA at the base of the mountain. Shoppers can peruse the stores ranging in everything from fine art and maps to breezy attire just in time for summer. Diners can stroll through the European-style Village and choose from sushi plates, organic soups and gourmet pizzas.

The High Camp Lagoon and Spa will also be open to the public the following weekends, June 5-6 and 12-13.
