Scottish Ski Season Continues Into June

Aviemore, Scotland, UK – With Scotland’s resorts reporting the best ski and snowboard season in 14 years, the Scottish Highlands resort of CairnGorm Mountain has confirmed that it will offer skiing and riding into June.nSki Scotland recently announced that since the season began in late November, Scotland’s five mountain resorts have attracted 373,782 customers, beating the numbers recorded in 2001, a bumper snow year, and pumping £37.5m into the local economy.

With another three inches of snow falling on Saturday night, CairnGorm Mountain is the only one of the five still operating, and ski area officials have confirmed that they will continue to offer skiing and riding on the U.K.’s sixth-highest mountain weekends only into June as long as conditions allow. Lift tickets will be sold in three-hour blocks for £18, with lifts spinning from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All-day tickets will also be available for £20. Rentals will not be available.
