Highmount, NY – The Belleayre Music Festival will color Independence Weekend “Red, White and Bluegrass” at the ski resort in New York’s Catskill Mountains, when Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder showcase their repertoire on Saturday, July 3 at 8 p.m., followed by fireworks.nFourteen-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Skaggs returns to Belleayre for a holiday weekend showcase.
Known affectionately as bluegrass music’s official ambassador, Skaggs blurs the lines between bluegrass, country, pop and rock. His show at Belleayre eight years ago was a sell-out. The fireworks on stage will be followed by a mountaintop display to cap off the Independence weekend concert.
