Michigan Ski Area Sold

Cannonsburg, MI – The family that has owned and operated Cannonsburg Ski Area for over three decades has sold the resort to an area lawyer.nJames Wynn, an attorney in Petoskey, Mich., has purchased the ski area along with Arnold Transportation, a ferry boat operating out of Mackinaw City, from the Brown family. Heirs of Prentiss Brown purchased the ski area in 1977, and have owned Arnold Transportation since 1921.

No immediate change in operations is anticipated at Cannonsburg, which occupies 270 acres in Cannon Township.
