Waterbury, VT – From 5 to 11 p.m. this Tuesday, the Reservoir Restaurant and Tap Room in Waterbury will donate 15 percent of all food sales to Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports.nVermont Adaptive, the only organization in Vermont to offer year-round programming and activities seven days a week for people with disabilities, relies on year-round fundraising and events to support its mission and its clients.
Offering programming and activities on and off the slopes at Sugarbush’s Mt. Ellen in Warren and Bolton Valley, Vermont Adaptive believes that sports and recreation provide a physical, mental and social experience that is immeasurable in promoting self-confidence and independence in an individual. Winter activities include skiing, Nordic, snowshoeing and indoor rock climbing. State-wide summer programming includes sailing, canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing, cycling, and horseback riding. It relies on more than 400 hundred volunteers each year.
In addition to its Sugarbush and Bolton locations, Vermont Adaptive also has winter programs at Pico Mountain in Killington. Summer sailing and water sports are held at the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center. The organization’s headquarters are based at Pico Mountain.
