Jackson Hole Building ‘Stash’ Natural Terrain Parks

Teton Village, WY – This summer, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), in collaboration with Snow Park Technologies, began construction of five Burton Stash Parks that incorporate natural features and native materials to create ramps, rails and jumps in “stashed locations” across the Wyoming ski and snowboard resort.n“The Stash concept is a perfect fit for Jackson Hole – we already have insane terrain that lends itself to freeride and freestyle all over the mountain,” said Jackson Hole ambassador and former U.S. Snowboard Open halfpipe champion, Rob Kingwill. “By having a crew dedicated to making sure the natural hits are well shaped, as well as enhancing other terrain and creating new possibilities, Jackson Hole will truly be the world’s best natural terrain park.”

Also this winter, a 25% boost in snowmaking capability via bigger pipes, more power, and new acreage means more terrain open earlier, and in better shape longer, resort officials assert. They’re also adding a new winch cat, which will ensure better corduroy on the mountain’s steeper groomers.
