New President and GM at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort

Kelly Canyon, NV – 2010) – Ski resort operator Powdr Corporation, owner of Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, on Tuesday announced the promotion of Kevin Stickelman to president and general manager of the ski area on Mt. Charleston northwest of Vegas. Stickelman has 15 years of experience in the snow sports industry, with the majority of this time spent in management positions at two of the company’s other ski resorts, Mt. Bachelor in Oregon and Park City Mountain Resort in Utah.nMost recently, Stickelman was the Director of the Guest Experience at Mt. Bachelor, responsible for the resort’s food and beverage, snow sports school and child care, Nordic Center, retail and rental shops, and guest services departments. He will assume this new role immediately.

Stickelman is charged with full operations responsibility at Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, including submission of the resort’s master development plan to the US Forest Service. Upon acceptance of the master plan by the USFS, Stickelman will lead the implementation phases of the plan, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies and approvals, followed by development of new resort facilities and amenities over the next five to ten years.

Stickelman majored in engineering at Kansas State University and holds professional certifications from the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, Professional Ski Instructors of America, and National Ski Patrol. He has been an active supporter and board member of Oregon Adaptive Sports and the Crater Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Stickelman will be moving to Las Vegas along with his wife, Nancy, and their five month old daughter, Lucy, over the next several weeks.
