Panorama Triples Night Skiing Terrain

Invermere (BC), Canada – Panorama Mountain Resort in eastern British Columbia has tripled the size of the ski resort’s night skiing terrain this winter by adding lights to the Showoff run off the Mile 1 high speed quad chairlift.n“We are really excited about the new night experience at Panorama this winter,” says Jeremy Neill, Panorama’s Marketing Manager. “Anyone with a valid pass for the day can keep skiing past 4 p.m. and into the night on Showoff with access via the Mile 1 high speed quad.”

Rising 1,200 vertical feet above the village, the green circle Showoff trail is over a mile long. It’s described as a gentle rolling cruiser suited to all abilities and groomed daily.

The expanded terrain and high speed lift access is expected to enhance the atmosphere in the village at night. The popularity will stem from families vacationing at the resort and local residents coming up from Invermere after a day of work or school.

Night skiing lift tickets are available at Panorama Guest Services in Ski Tip Lodge and are priced this season at C$19 for adults, C$16 for youth/senior and C$9 for juniors. Anyone who has either a 2010-11 Panorama season pass or a full day/half day lift pass that is valid for the same day can go night skiing without purchasing an additional lift ticket.

Night skiing at Panorama is scheduled to start Dec. 10 and runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days a week.
