Colorado’s Keystone and Copper Open Friday

Keystone, CO – Colorado’s Keystone Resort and Copper Mountain are each gearing up for a Friday opening, joining nearby Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area as the Colorado ski season heads into full swing.nSummit County, Colorado received nearly 28 inches of snow from Mother Nature in the last two weeks. Snowfall amounts have allowed for great opening day conditions with top to bottom skiing and riding, and an early season terrain park with 25 features.

Friday also marks the premiere of EpicMix, Vail Resorts’ much touted new online and mobile application, allowing skiers and riders to digitally capture their day and share it online. Opening day guests will receive a special digital Pioneer Pin for logging on during Keystone’s Opening Day. The Epic Mix Pioneer Pin will only be available on Friday.

Loveland and Araphoe Basin each first opened for the ski season during October. On Friday, both Keystone and Copper will join the mix of open Colorado resorts. Copper has been open for private race camps only since late October, but beginning Friday the skiing public will be welcome as well. Copper will celebrate its season debut with Lift Off presented by Sprint, the resort’s 6th annual opening weekend festival featuring ski and snowboard movies, demos, après parties and late night music.
