They’re Skiing Again Today in Minnesota

Taylors Falls, MN – Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls, north of the Twin Cities, was the first ski area in the Midwest when it opened for skiing and riding last weekend. After warm weather quickly shut the ski area back down, lifts began spinning again this afternoon and are expected to do so throughout the weekend.n”We finally had a great night of snowmaking!” an enthusiastic Amy Frischmon, Wild Mountain co-owner, said this afternoon. “We are re-opening today at 2 p.m. with Daisy and the rope tow. At 4 p.m. we will add Expressway and Chair 1.”

Wild Mountain will remain open until 9 p.m. this evening, and again 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from noon to 8 p.m. this Monday. Operation beyond Monday has yet to be confirmed.
