Powder Mountain Officials Thankful for Mother Nature

Eden, UT – The 2010-11 winter season at Utah’s Powder Mountain ski resort is officially underway. Powder Mountain’s Sundown lift opened for night skiing at 3 p.m. this afternoon, and after the Thanksgiving holiday, daytime skiing and riding will launch Friday morning.n“This is the earliest open and best opening conditions we’ve seen in quite a few years,” commented Gregg Geer, CEO of Powder Mountain. “Everyone is excited to get back on the snow. It’s like a huge family reunion as we see old friends and familiar faces back after summer break. It’s one of the best times of the year for many reasons including lots of shreddable pow back in our mountains.”

Adult night passes tonight cost $15 and children ages 7-12 are $12. Children 6 and under ski free with a paying adult. The mountain received over 30 inches during the past 48 hours and more snow is possible this weekend, when adult day passes will be $34 and children will be $21 with the resort’s Sundown and Timberline Lifts open.
