Door Opens to New Lodging, Dining This Ski Season at Revelstoke

Revelstoke (BC), Canada – This ski and snowboard season, guests will find new settings at which to sip and sleep at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in the British Columbia interior of Canada.nFor starters, lodging options at this Kootenay Rockies resort continue to expand with the introduction of 56 new suites at the ski-in ski-out Nelsen Lodge. Featuring a blend of natural materials offset by stainless steel appliances, the new suites mark the second phase of lodge developments, with the third and final phase set to come online in 2012.

In addition, a new wine bar, showcasing vintages from across British Columbia, will do its best to impress tipplers against the surrounding backdrop of cascading mountain ranges. And what a backdrop. As Canada’s newest ski resort in the heart of the Selkirk and Monashee mountains, Revelstoke already boasts the longest lift-serviced vertical in North America at 1,713 meters, or 5,620 feet.

The resort also serves up some seriously big mountain action with 1,214 hectares (3,031 acres) of fall-line skiing and riding, a collection of high-alpine bowls and 13 areas of gladed terrain. The Last Spike is a whopper of a run measuring in at 15 kilometers, or 10 miles.
