Telemark Festival Returning to New York’s Revived Hickory Ski Center

Warrensburg, NY – Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Hickory Telemark Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 at Hickory Ski Center in Warrensburg in New York’s southern Adirondack Mountains.nFirst established in 1948, Hickory Ski Center recently reopened following several dormant seasons and is a popular telemark ski destination known for its natural terrain and varied tree skiing. At this year’s Telefest, participants will again find the famous Tour de Trees, free demos of the latest telemark equipment and telemark clinics to fine tune your skills and provide beginners a chance learn telemark skiing.

New this season is the “Tele Skin Challenge Race” where skins meet terrain for challenging, backcountry climbs and downhills, with the finish at the ski area’s base lodge. Watch the action on deck at the lodge, trailside or sign up to participate in this new event.

The tele gathering continues into the evening with an après ski party featuring a local brew, a $15 dinner special and prize giveaways.

Lift tickets and all tele festivities cost $45 with the ski area’s sno-dag card, or $50 without. Discount lodging is available nearby in Warrensburg or Lake George.
