My mistake. I was only comparing them to the Socal Transverse. There are actually several W-E facing mountain ranges across North Amercia, but for some reason most only consider the Uinta's and San Gabriels/San Bernardinos true transverse ranges.

As far as transverse ranges, don't forget the Uinta's, which is the highest transverse range in N. America.
