I promise to start taking pics!
Took the morning off from the family and went skiing with my neighbor (salamon rep). Got up to jupiter lift by 9:22 and was able to grab the low hanging fruit (3laps) prior to really anyone getting up there. Summit reported 9" storm total and Jupiter skied more likely 12-14" especially in wind favored aspects. Portuguese gap skied deep as we had first tracks thru, 3 more on Scotts got us too about 1130 and 6 laps; the legs where feeling it from Sat on Mountain patrol and the 8.5k ft of Jupiter. Headed to mid mountain for some coffee and then up to East Face. Booted about half way up Jupiter peak and caught a nice open chute that hadn't been skied. The snow as admin stated was just so blower, up that high the existing snow underneath was still soft, and it felt so good making big high speed pow turns.
Meet the wife after lunch and skied around King Con and Crescent. The lower mountain has just received so much less snow on the order of 6" and anything that was sun baked last week was a bit icy still as the new snow being light had no bite. Finished the day around 330 with a run down Wileys off the front face lookers right of Crescent, the run was slightly bumped up but the snow was soft and the trees skied well. Some of the longest fall line on the mountain. The wife enjoyed it and I was cooked.
