skied a bunch over in that area of the ski area in the morning , with alot of smooooooooth eight to ten inch depth of success . in the afternoon there was really only one way to end the day and the year on a sweeeeeet note , an ascent to the john paul summit to ski more cold north facing snow to the bottom .

I love that Bobby Danger always hits up Snowbasin... and he always gets the goods. One of these years I gotta go there with Utards and hit it right.

I've been on the lookout for potential Snowbasin powder days and have not had the opportunity yet. I'm not going to commute up there from the Iron Blosam, so realistically I have 5-7 other days in Utah per season. I've had quite a few powder days the last few seasons based in SLC, but the storms in question have dumped way more snow in LCC than elsewhere. That is the most common pattern, so a non-local needs to be fairly lucky. Second day leftover powder at Powder Mt. is more likely, and I've had 2 of those days in the past 5 seasons.
