Skied with our Editorship and friends at Alta and Snowbird. Marc was a wonderful host, and invited our group of 8 over for apres ski saturday. On Sunday, he led the chicks around Snowbird on sunday. We found all types of solid conditions, even on the north faces. Styrofoam was the primary condition of the morning. When he left shortly after lunch, we found softer conditions in the sunshine.

While we did not have any fresh powder, it was still better than skiing in the east and we all had a lot of fun. The company was excellent and the terrain was super as always in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Monday Pam and I headed south as I was on my way to kayak the Grand Canyon for the next 3 weeks. We thought it would be worthwhile to check out Brian Head. We were unimpressed upon our arrival. 40mph winds and frozen solid snow didn't inspire us much, so we skipped the skiing and opted for a self-guided site-seeing tour of Zion National Park and did a few hikes along the way to work out our legs that were stiffening from all the hours in the car.
