Liz arrived in SLC Thursday and skied Solitude Friday. I arrived Friday and we skied Alta Saturday with Amy and occasionally BobbyD, who made a couple of forays over to Snowbird.

Utah had a warm week so only direct north exposures retained winter snow. In the morning the High T would have been very unpleasant getting to some of them though. We followed local guidance and made repeated Ballroom traverses, which were more challenging for Liz than most of the skiing.

But the snow in Tombstone, etc. was very good.

After a nice Rustler lunch we took a couple of backside runs. Backside had intermittent skiable lines with winter snow.

Several avalanches have crossed the EBT this season.

Next time out we skied near Susie's trees, thinking the snow would be sheltered.

But it was more variable than Backside and partially refrozen lower down.

Around 3PM BobbyD came back from Snowbird since the west facing runs would finally be softened. With this year's cover, linking traverses out to Stonecrusher took awhile. But as expected the snow had softened to optimal consistency. BobbyD:

We took a final run out to a more accessible line in West Rustler with similar good spring snow conditions. Total 21,100 vertical.
