All of Baldy opened today sometime before 10:00 when I got to the top of Sugarloaf. First lap was smooth soft snow in Main Chute. By the second lap, there were ruts, and by the third moguls. Stuck in Main because I didn't want to get a core shot on some of the other routes. The bad part about having good skis. I think people who skied the High Shoulder were rewarded with powder, but might have had to skim over some rocks on the exit. Little Chute was firm by report, and the entrance looked intimidating. The choke of Perla's looked rocky. Rotors looked good, should have hit that the first run.
Going to stick around until after this weekend storm and then wind my way back to Seattle, where I start back at work a week from Monday. Southern route passes Sun Valley and Alpental, northern can hit Jackson, Big Sky/Moonlight, Silver Mt, and Steven's Pass. Will be watching weather closely. May just drive home in one shot and hot Whistler if it keeps snowing there. Too many choices; it would be easier to just stay here I guess.
