Hit Alta today. Very nice conditions, even with the lack of snowfalls since 2 weeks. Absolutely no ice, packed powder moguls, nice grooming on the beg/int trails. The extreme trails were in good shape with even some powder in few places. It was the last day of the week of 2$ for everyone... but as the ski area is totally unknown, there was just a little line-up... 1 minute max.

It's so funny to see some places that looks like the pics on NELSAP (lost ski areas) (photo 1)... but it's in an open mountain ! At least, they cut the grass in few trails that still needed it...
(ok, it's better actually, but it's still very grassy... it's an official trail by the way... #1)

On this point, Upper Slalom (#21)(photo) was really hot... no grass except a very short zone on the upper part (that is just enough visible to discourage many skiers to go in, so the snow remains better...) It's really on the top 5 of the best challenging trails of Laurentides / Lanaudiere !

tiny trail map to locate #1 and #21... and to see how the mountain and the proportion of double black diamonds are like ;)

Finally, I must say that Quebec =NOT France, so don't laugh too much at me ;) lol
