Alta Question for Tomorrow April 3rd, 2013

We just arrived at Alta 24 hours after the storm. ](*,)

Did anything at Alta not open today April 2nd? Backside, Ballroom, etc. The website says closed for the aforementioned but not sure if that means it didn't open today or it opened and is now closed again. Thanks for any info. Hoping there's some leftovers tomorrow and the sun didn't cook them too badly.

More like 8-12 hours after, actually.

I wasn't there today but the only things marked this morning as "routes scheduled" were the EBT and Catherine's. Assuming that's true (but that list isn't always updated timely) it would appear that Backside and Ballroom/Baldy Shoulder didn't open. If that's true, the sun didn't come out until afternoon so northeast-facing Backside should be fine, as would be north/northeast facing Ballroom/Baldy Shoulder.

Get in line early for Collins and first check the Backside gate for tracks. If that's open and tracked out and Ballroom hasn't yet been hit (you can of course see that from Collins), head for the Ballroom traverse. If Backside is open but not tracked out, opt for that run's longer fall lines instead.

So, like 8:45? :-D

Personally it's gotta be a three-foot dump or so to get me in line before opening, but as a visitor - yeah, that ought to do it.
