Alta/Snowbird: Merry Wild Weather Xmas!

I suspect many aren't skiing today, thanks to the raging storm. It's been gusting into the low 60's* mph all morning. Most of Alta and much of Snowbird are closed.

*EDIT: I just rechecked the data - make that the mid-60's; 66mph as of 11a. NWS says it can go well into the 75mph range when the front passes later today. Also, as of the 11:32 update, Snowbird has now closed the Mid-Gad lift as well, leaving them their two lowest and shortest lifts. (And if you're not familiar, Chickadee serves about 50 vert feet of 8-degree terrain.)

From Alta's snow report 9:35a update:

Today Wildcat Lift is open and it is unlikely Collins Lift will open. Check back for updates on Collins. The Albion Basin is closed due to weather conditions: Albion, Sunnyside, Sugarloaf, Cecret, and Supreme Lifts will be closed. Christmas Night 14-18 inches of snow.

Snowbird says:
There is currently a high wind advisory which may affect the operation of our tram and lifts.
