Days 68-69: Seeing as how the new weekend is here, it's probably high time that I posted from last weekend.
Just call me Patrick.
Last Saturday I couldn't really get into it. Snow was still stiff and I didn't hold out much hope for substantial softening. I stayed for a couple of hours and split.
Sunday, however, was a different story. For what seemed like the umpteenth Sunday in a row a bit of thick, new snow kept things getting better and better as the day wore on. We bid farewell to the Supreme lift for the season, we dined at Collins Grill for lunch for the first time all winter (I feel like we have to do that at least once each season), and Bobby and I each ended the day with some powder turns in Grizzly Gulch.
And the place was absolutely deserted. I'm not sure how they were paying the overhead. Chairs were going up empty, there were only two other tables seated at Collins Grill for lunch, and parking doesn't get much easier.
All of these photos are from Sunday.
First run of the morning in Albion Gulch.
Sugarloaf is deserted throughout the morning.
At 9:51 Bobby Danger and AmyZ are the only other folks at Supreme for the lift's last day of the season.
