Three inches of light, dry fluff does little to dress things up, other than make them look good. Now, you need to understand...I'm being picky. In reality, Alta skied really, really well on Saturday, but I still had visions of Thursday's hip-deep powder dancing in my head, and therefore was left slightly wanting.
We had a big posse: Marc_C, Acidchrist, Acidchrist's 14 year-old son Jordan, Amy, Dale, and yours truly. And we played everywhere that visibility was enhanced by trees, including Fred's Trees, Susie's Trees (after a positively heinous vertigo-filled blind traverse across the Backside), No. 9 Trees, a chute off Supreme that I'd never before skied, Spiny Chutes, and a route threading the cliff bands in North Rustler that Marc_C introduced us to.
10 feet of base is p-lenty, and this season is truly shaping up nicely. The skiing in Utah right now is superb.
I had other obligations to attend to after 1:30, but the others skied on.
