Day 26: Still no Backside.

I really thought that we'd get it today after ASP went on a rather aggressive bomb run back there. Alas, no -- they must not have been happy with what released.

Getting there required surviving this sea of humanity, the only real liftline we'd deal with all day.


At the top of the Catherine's hike it was hard to even find a place to click in. And kudos to the moron stopped on the traverse in the middle of a phone call!

Day 26: Still no Backside.
I really thought that we'd get it today after ASP went on a rather aggressive bomb run back there. Alas, no -- they must not have been happy with what released.

With naturals still releasing and remotely triggered releases by skiers, it's still pretty sketch. Take a look at the slides on Rocky Point in today's avi report.

At the top of the Catherine's hike it was hard to even find a place to click in. And kudos to the moron stopped on the traverse in the middle of a phone call!

I might have considered "accidentally" bumping into him/her, apologizing profusely the entire time.

Backside finally opened today, and Skidog proclaimed that he scored the season's first public tracks in Susie's Trees. That leaves only Devil's Castle and East Castle (neither one a surprise), Supreme Bowl and Baldy Chutes not yet open.

got a good suzies trees too.... but spent most of the afternoon in mineral basin , snowbird opened the rest of mineral basin and this afternoon opened out to hillarys , but nothing beyond .

Snowbird is still 102/169 runs today. Unlike many areas, Snowbird only lists online what's open, so you have to deduce what's closed. That appears to be Road to Provo, Baldy, Upper Cirque and beyond Hillary Step. I'm sure I'm missing something.

road to provo opened yesterday out to bass benches , upper cirque is accessable through upper executive usual gate, nothing beyond hillarys step has come on line yet , restuarant row and baldy are the only things closed for now that i can find in journeying around the bird , and i must add all that's open are skiing wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
