Day 12: Surprisingly fun, and breezy.
After yesterday's boredom I didn't have high hopes for today. But another storm sliding by to our north cranked up the southerly winds, rapidly warming temperatures into the 30s and sifting our meager base around to deliver some unexpected surprises.
Those included the Spring Valley headwall and Saddle, both of which had some smooth, fun chalky goodness. Ditto for Johnson's Warm-Up.
I surprised myself by sticking around until 2 p.m. Fingers remain crossed for the first storm Thursday/Friday, followed by a bigger one over next weekend. In the meantime, I'm off to ski an admittedly limited Solitude tomorrow.
No pics -- sorry!
