Day 53: Rockin' Sunnyside

Went up with Mrs. Admin for Free After 3. Groomers were spectacular. Off-piste was still remarkably light, fluffy and loose on aspects from easterly through northwesterly, but west-facing had developed a slight sun crust. I keep trying to coax the Mrs. into the ungroomed, but she floundered on Vail Ridge.

Tomorrow's an all-day cat with some friends as well as Louie Vito & Alex Schlopy.

I would imagine one of the advantages of Alta is that the off piste is so easily accessible from the trails that you could ski off piste while your wife skied on the trails and always meet around the same time at the lift.

The point, though, is that we both want her to get used to the ungroomed.

Vail Ridge seems a perfect choice... Some people are just determined groomer skiers.

No wonder I am single. I would have taken off and climbed the Apron.

Vail Ridge might not be a good choice for the skier determined to stay on the groomers.

Im not the one who said she's determined to stay skion the groomers. Quite the opposite, she's anxious to learn to ski ungroomed snow.I'm just not the one to teach.
