Day 68: More powder

Alta picked up a quick 10 inches during the day on Friday, and I headed up after a lunch meeting to sample it for a couple of hours. I was itching to go during the meeting, ate quickly and got out of there at the first opportunity.

It turned out to be a good decision. Most folks had already left for the day by the time I got there at 2:30 and there were still good scraps to be found. I skied with Ken, visiting from Connecticut and a friend of someone I went to high school with, and his friends Bill and Doug. First run was out in High Nowhere, and I think that I freaked Doug out a bit when he lost his edge set and cheese gratered over 10 vertical feet of jagged rock. After that, though, they found the soft snow and let's just say that they were more than pleased.

A condo run yielded untracked at 3:45 pm, and we timed it perfectly for we waited less than 10 seconds for a bus. We managed to catch a 4:28 pm chair up Collins, and finished the day with more untracked on a relaxing la-dee-da run down Greeley Bowl.
