Another Laurentian Powder Day !

Hard to believe but another powder day and the kids were stoked and wanted to head out to Alta. Arrived at 8.30 this morning to join the crowd of Alta diehards in anticipation of the first chair at 9.00 am. Turned out to be another epic day as deep snow could be found everywhere you looked. All of this early snow is great training as we await our trips to MRG and Jay. Meanwhile with this type of snow can’t say I missing the trips south.

Nice Anthony!!!

I would have love to go skiing again before tomorrow's R#@%. All this week, I was hoping for one night or today, but work and our family related things/Christmas shopping shotdown my best intentions.

Today was small potatoes compared to last weekend. Patrick got it right this time.
Yes, it is.

But I would still prefer having both instead of staying at home.

Patrick, Alta is a great place to be on a Saturday morning provided that the previous week was a good week for accumulating snow. You can buy your lift tickets on line for $17.00 adult and $12.00 for kids (12 and <) so in my case took the 3 kids and only spent $58.00. I believe a big crowd from zone – ski was there but in similar fashion to last week a lot of guys had their legs give out and headed home after a few hours. It’s amazing how ungroomed skiing can knock you out. Now the only thing I am missing is the high alpine setting you have down in VT but when the time comes we will be ready. Now have to get through this warm day and hope the damage isn’t too bad.

I don't know what you're talking about (see last weekend logs). Sorry for maybe sounding harsh or elitist, but I would have a hard time skiing a full day at Alta or other smaller hill without my kids. Not because of the legs, but more on being bored.

Don't get me wrong, I loved to have Alta in my backyard, but I like bigger options. Anyway, you made it out and I didn't, so that's what counts. :P

Snowbanks are still high, it's been pouring rain for the last 4 hours. Snow tomorrow.
