I should have checked the Current Conditions report before I left town. Last night we had blasting winds with two inches overnight but with 5-8" forecasted to fall today I thought it'd be one of those "steady improvers".
Well, it sort of did. Today's snow was thickened by the wind, still creamy fun, but a bit of a let down from what we had enjoyed earlier this week.
From what we have in place, I don't think Staley has anything to worry about coverage-wise. I'm hoping he'll get some clear Summit days so he can back up my reports. Unfortunately, I'll be in Baja California Sur during his stay so I wish him the best.
Very stormy with Pine and all the other higher, exposed lifts on hold.
Hamming it up storm-rider style.
