Yesterday the early report told of 1" new snow after 4-6" the day before. Me and Sal slept in. But NOAA predicted 5-8" during the day and it started snowing, and snowing, and snowing in town. I knew it was one of those wait and smile days but we decided to go classic skiing up to Tumalo Falls. Beautiful winter wonderland scenes unfolded as we ascended the canyon that supplies Bend with it's drinking water. The late day report was 8".
This morning I'm at work and we got another 5" overnight. It's clearing and the Summit is on the schedule! You stood a good chance of having a run of a lifetime drop into the West Bowls but it was not to be. Maybe the world ended a few days ago after all. A cloud moved in and it never opened.
Stats: 95" West Village, 124" Mid Mountain and 195" YTD. Should have our 100" party Wednesday! Check the vid below.
