I'm celebrating all the new snow we got this week with a little Pendleton, my favorite Canadian whiskey (bottled in Hood River, OR)
So far we have been on a tear, with about three feet of deliciously dry snow and face shots all week. I really like my powder with a little more substance to it, especially earlier in the week when you could feel the older snow underneath. But now there's plenty and the turns this morning were exquisite! I got my favorite shot off the top of NWX, first tracks two days in a row. It doesn't look like much at first but the run opens up into one of the nicest fall lines and sustained pitches you can find on this mountain.

Snapped this one about two-thirds the way up Northwest Express, a little after nine this morning. The truly humungous storm is supposed to enter our area later this afternoon. After a cold start the temps are rising ahead of the front. It's going to pound!

Looking down Spark's Lake Run. I don't want to quote NOAA so as not to jinx how much snow is going to fall, but I know we will soon have more than the 80" that is now being reported by the ski area.

Untracked terrain this morning, it snowed another 9" last night over yesterday's three inches. Whoosh.
