A couple friends and I skied Baden last Sunday and harvested some sweet creamed corn.
When you drive down to Vincent Gap you can see areas getting blasted by the morning sun--that is where you want to ski if you want corn. If you would rather luge, then seek out the death-ice in the shady parts. We opted for crampons and booting rather than skinning. Here is an approximate view of our descent line taken in the afternoon (hence no sun on it). Baden is always a bit tricky and wild, imo. Timing is important.

In the parking lot at Vincent Gap a hot mom
and her hot daughter
drove up and asked us for directions to Mt Waterman!?!?!??. Not only that, but they had come from San Diego and arrived at Vincent Gap via Pasadena  Unfortunately they made me promise not to post their naked pictures on the internet--sorry guys  Oh, and hey hot mom and hot daugher: if you read this and want a guided tour of Waterman, give me a shout
On the hike up we encountered an angry three headed abominable snow stump-yeti
At 9399 metres, Baden-Powell towers above the rest of the canadian rockies and most other mountains for that matter. We didn't summit, probably because didn't carry oxygen.
We assessed the avy danger, and noted the great instabilities in the surface hoars:
Also, to the east we have an excellent view of the north face of Mount Everest and also Mount Whitney to the left, which each tower over 12 million furlongs per fortnight!
On to the skiing...
Bruce contacts aliens with the antennae in his pack. The aliens tell him when to turn.
A corn-eating grin
Don had some fun too
Some of the gully goods:
In addition to founding the boy scouts, Lord Robert Baden-Powell (BP) was well respected by Winston Churchill, and also founded BP petroleum, now owned by Dick Cheney and Haliburton. Most importantly, he invented s'mores. If you look closely, you can see why they named the peak after him!
A goode ending to a great day
