Went to Baldy for the last time this year on Sunday for a half-day. No liftlines, bright April sun and soft snow. What more can you ask for? Good coverage for the most part. Some crust in the shady areas under the trees. South Bowl was good- even some fresh soft snow to be had. The run-out was sketchy and had the absolute minimum coverage to get back in some places. I wouldn't even ski it out tomorrow without rock skis. Skyline and Emile's was great. Goldridge was variable. Chair 4 was closed as well as the parking lot runs, but I saw some real diehards go down to the bottom with a lot of walking involved. All in all a great way to end a good if late season at Baldy. Until next year...
