Baldy April 3rd

Looks like almost all of those pictures are from below chair 1 which has a lower elevation and I believe faces primarily south. I wasn't up there this weekend but there's plenty of snow on Chair 3 still as of last week. Found this picture from the mammoth forums that shows Thunder on Friday last weekend.

You can see at center left of socal's pic that the south exposures are losing cover. The core area of Thunder should ski well when the snow softens. Since tomorrow's L.A. temps are supposed to hit 80+, that sounds promising. But the snowpack is nowhere near that of 2005, so I'd recommend getting on it sooner rather than later.

i am pining for utah snow tony.......lol
There's at least as much at Mammoth. The season still has at least 2 months left.

i have one pic up of thunder -- coverage was quite good (i didn't hit any rocks), but snow condition was fairly poor. interesting to note the ski report today said machined groomed and icy....

coverage was good in south bowl, but the traverse out to chair 3 is getting sketchy -- not too good.

hopefully this 4-6 inches of "wet snow" do a little something, but i doubt i'll be back up there this season lest a "rogue" storm comes in and drops a few feet.
