now this is what i came for!

not a big dump by any stretch, but the 7 inches of grauple made for a perfect cushion on south and west aspects skied today at mid/upper elevations. USA bowl was the chosen spot for a combination of low/moderate pitch, smoothness underneath, zero rollerball/point release debris found in steeper terrain, and the best part, not a single soul to be seen or a single track anywhere from our vantage point.

the runs were long, boot top, 100-150 turns per run and we lapped the place till the "greenhouse effect" had started to do it's damage. skied 8-noon, 5 laps each. great day in a place that is very special to me as it was always my go-to spot on high danger storm days. it's also the spot where craig and i 1st met many years ago. cool place.

tomorrow? maybe more snow on the way. we're heading into bigger/higher terrain maybe off of the twins via early 7:30 patrol tram at the bird. second option: upper wolve bowl laps with a "stupid chute" exit to a run down thousand turn gully with more laps on figure 8 hill.

perfect spongy pow today on a forgiving soft base. every turn was, toe to heal rebound perfection. barely felt like i was doing anything. pics to come later.
