firm. crap. ice. manmade. dust on crust. rails and jumps. cloudy. flat
light most of the day. visibility was horrible. sharpen your edges and
you'll do ok.
that pretty much sums it up.

the A to Z chutes have NO snow on them. Tram was for "scenic rides only".
it was disgusting up there. Shedhorn was frozen solid. it's all about the
groomers and the park. everything else is just dangerous. atleast we're
still open though. i heard that Mt. Baker is closed, among others. ouch!

the park was pretty fun though, i must say. i'm way out of practice with
hitting jumps. my knee's aren't like they used to be. the park is a top to
bottom run with the top half having the majority of the rails, although a
couple of jumps are near the top too. the halfpipe was getting cut today.
this is also at the top. the bottom half has 5 different jumps. most of
them large ones. the smallest is 25' or so and a step-up. the two largest
ones that are back to back jumps are 50' and 40' respectfully. big sky
has stepped it up in the park this year, that's for sure. about 10 different
rails were available for you jibbing pleasure. 50/50 all day long.

WOW! You basically summed up what I was going to say about Whistler. That system that moved through has really killed a lot of places. It's true, Baker is still closed and waiting for snow.
Groomies and park riding is about all that's left up here. Anything off piste - forget about it! And there is no snow at all below 1200m.
Here's hoping it's not too late for this season...
