park has frozen over, but still pretty decent. a superpipe will be cut
within the next week with the new zaugg they are expecting. it's on the
train from chicago as i type. 4-5" new fell today on the hill. crusty
underneath, but it's all getting covered up and i expect powder days for
the next week and beyond.

boardercross comp today. and skier cross. lots of contact in the skier
cross races. pushing off of one another and such. not cool. the
boardercross races were sick! all evenly matched competitors. and the
winner is.......hamdog! came home with a new board, t-shirt, stickers,
and sixty dollahs. super fun day. now it's time to enjoy the pow that's
puking on the hill. temps have dropped, but so is the snow.
 
woohoo! thanks Marc. the BIG comp is next weekend at Moon. should be
interesting. my first freeride comp. i saw some footy from the snowbird
freeride comp. wholly cow! those dudes know how to ski. some sick
footage. did you get a chance to catch any of that action? they had
much more area to cover than what they're having available at moon, but
i expect to see some crazy riding to be thrown down. depending on
whether we get over 16", i have a secret linefor the moonlight comp.
mandatory 40'er. it's a long shot, but we'll see how much snow we get
between now and the comp. there's really only a couple of small drops
otherwise. one 15'er and another 10'er. the 15' is high consequence if
you eat it though. i'd be surprised if i see anyone take that, but that's
what'll have to be done in order to win.....or my little secret hucker.
over $1000 is up for grabs. to commit or not commit......that is the question.

Can't say that I did -- I had other committments that weekend, unfortunately.

Go big or go home, bud! (Easy for me to say, for as far as I'm concerned, the more "firma", the less "terra"...if you know what I mean. :wink:)
