there are those days when you just want to get out to ride and know it's probably not going to be very good, but you keep your fingers crossed anyways. i knew i had to stay high on the mtn if i wanted any chance of finding some untouched "powdery" snow, so straight to the tram i went. good choice! spun about 7 laps and had powder for atleast some of every run. otter slide was real bumpy and rocks starting to pop up. gullies rode real well. crons was pretty done. the big looked chewed up. tours w/ patrol across the ridge of the bowl was the way to go today. i never knew all those lines were there. over to 6th gully, tips up and a few others. it's not normally open i don't think..... unless there's exceptional coverage. ~500"+ ytd in the bowl ROUGHLY one patroller guessed.

the lines above the gullies are all filled in and were lookiing real fresh at teh end of the day. the pockets! the wind was blowing like crazy up top! first place to go in the next few days. and little if it doesn't slide. little wasn't open today. saving it for the last weekend.

random tram convo: around 2pm one of the patrollers recieved an announcemnt; YS club will be doing avi control. next tram lap someone said something about thunder. nope, that was the bombing going on over at YS club. seriously!?! yep. it's after 2pm and they couldn't understand why they were going to bomb for wet slides. ok, good luck.

someone passed out at the top the tram at the end of the day too. don't know what happened, but it was kind of humerous. it wasn't that windy dude. no seroiusly, i hope it wasn't anything serious.

some north facing stuff was naturally ripping out though. lots of pinwheels over on challenger at the end of the day too.

patrol stash. wouldn't let me ride it today. maybe this weekend..... i heard three different names for it, but the one i remember is moon raker.

a couple of new lines today. tips up. patrol tours only. first tour, we had to wait for some BB folks who were clearly in over thier head once i saw them drop in, but oh well. i dropped in first and got the hell out of there.

a closer shot of the right line. choppy runout kind of, but it is april after all. patroller in the shot tearing sh.t up.
